P.O.BOX – lockable post office box

A P.O. BOX (Post Office Box) is a lockable mailbox located at a post office.

Both legal entities and individuals can apply to rent a P.O. BOX at any post office that has them available.

Adдресаты who use a P.O. BOX can pick up their mail in person at the post office without waiting and at any time during the post office's opening hours. 

The post office deposits items in the P.O. BOX that have the following information in the address:

  • the addressee's first and last name or company name,
  • the P.O. box number,
  • the postal code of the post office where the P.O. box is located – see examples.  

Based on an agreement between the P.O. BOX user and the post office, it is also possible to have consignments with a standard postal address of residence or registered office delivered via the P.O. BOX.

How to set up a P.O. BOX

You can apply to rent a P.O. BOX at any post office that has P.O. BOXes and has a free P.O. BOX available. Simply fill out the form "Agreement on the rental of a lockable post office box at the post office". 

If you wish to receive shipments with a standard residential or business address at your P.O. BOX, please also fill out the form Request – Addressee's Action.

 How much will you pay for a P.O. BOX?

The price for renting a P.O. BOX is based on the current Czech Post price list and is paid in advance quarterly or annually in a manner agreed upon. If the rental of the box is agreed upon for a shorter period, it is paid in advance for the period for which it is agreed upon.
